On the epic form of m. sing. dvandvas see also pp. 361--362, n.3 of
Oberlies, Thomas, *A Grammar of Epic Sanskrit*, Indian Philology and South
Asian Studies (Berlin: De Gruyter, 2003) (DOI
<https://doi.org/10.1515/9783110899344>)
That doesn't address the bahuvrīhi issue, though.
