[INDOLOGY] Tamil proverb?

I see in the 2001 வரலாற்று முறைத் தமிழ் இலக்கியப் பேரகராதி that, 
according to the scholars who compiled it, கரியவன் has been used in 
ancient Tamil literature with three different meanings:

-- சனி (in the Cilappatikāram passage already quoted)
-- இந்திரன் (in the Maṉimēkalai, Canto 25, line 55)
-- திருமால்  (in the Tēvāram)

This is certainly an interesting configuration
