[INDOLOGY] Tamil proverb?

Second Post-Scriptum

Based on the notes given by UVS, I now see that the Cilappatikāram line
(i.e. கரியவன் புகையினும் புகைக்கொடி தோன்றினும்)
seems to be a variation
on a புறநானூறு line,
namely

மைம்மீன் புகையினும் தூமம் தோன்றினும்
(Puṟam 117, line 1)

Commentators seem to think that
மைம்மீன் is also a reference to Saturn,
if I understand them correctly ....)

Obviously, I have sent too many posts today.
