Yes, I would expect
*māharājasya.*
*mahārāja- *(-a stem) is regular.
*mahārājan- *(-an stem) would be a *bahuvrīhi*. See Renou, Grammaire
sanskrite, p. 341.
In my transliteration correct *tāṃpra [sic] paṭṭikā* to *tāṃpra-paṭṭikā*
(i.e. *tāmra-paṭṭikā*, a compound).
