Further fun on Pune:

गल्ल्यां गल्ल्यां पुरे पुण्ये प्रतिपादनतत्परा: ।
वक्तार उपलभ्यन्ते श्रोतारश्च दिने दिने ।।

"In every lane, on any day, it is possible to find speakers propounding
something, and listeners [to those speakers]."

न कश्चित् कुरुते चिन्तां कालस्य विषयस्य वा ।
वक्ता यद् भाषतेऽध्यक्षस्तत् खण्डयति सर्वश: ।।

"No one ever worries about time or topic. Whatever the speaker says, the
president of the meeting rejects it entirely."

सर्वे भवन्ति निपुणा: सर्वे शास्त्रविशारदा: ।
सर्वे स्तुवन्ति निन्दन्ति भूषयन्ति च सर्वदा ।।

"Everyone is clever, and everyone is learned in some branch. They all
praise, blame or adorn something."

न किञ्चिदूनं पुण्येऽस्मिन्नगरे भासते क्वचित् ।
पूर्णान् कामान् करोत्येतत् सर्वेषां पुण्यपत्तनम् ।।

"There appears to be nothing lacking in Pune. This holy city fulfills
desires of all."

यदिहास्ति तदन्यत्र यन्नेहास्ति न तत् क्वचित् ।
इति मान्यं मतं सर्वपुण्यपत्तनवासिनाम् ।।

"Whatever is found here, may be found elsewhere, but whatever is not found
here can never be found elsewhere. Such is the considered opinion of all
residents of Pune."
