The "sivato.si.nii commentary on Li"ngapuraa.na 1.40:25--26 quotes a
commentator on the Mahaabhaarata (which is perhaps where this topos
first occurs?) who explains the code :
.... etad evokta.m bhaaratavyaakhyaat.rbhi.h---
a.t.tam anna.m "sivo vedo braahma.naa"s ca catu.spathaa.h|
ke"so bhaga.m samaakhyaata.m "suula.m tadvikriya.m vidu.h|| iti|
