Dear list members,

294 sanskrit etexts have been added from the Gaudiya Grantha Mandira
collection http://grantha.jiva.org/
to the Searchable Aggregate Library of Sanskrit
https://searchable-sanskrit-library.org/

Firstly thanks to Radha Blinderman, who pointed out this collection to me.
I was not aware of it and when I searched the indology archives it was only
mentioned there once. The collection contains both texts from within the
Gaudiya tradition and outside that tradition. It covers the topics of alaṅkāra,
bhakti-rasa, caritāmṛta (biography), chandasa, darśana (philosophy),
kama-śāstra, kāvya, nāṭaka, purāṇa, smṛti, stotra, subhāṣita, upaniṣad,
vyākaraṇa, tantra and pāñcarātra, yoga and other.

The main editor appears to be Jan Brzezinski aka Jagadananda Das, who I
enquired about recently. I was told offlist that he passed away in 2024
and my informers also praised his qualities as a sanskritist, so perhaps
this inclusion will help protect his legacy.

I've attached a pdf of the title list of the texts included. For details
of the subject each text covers visit the Gandira Grantha Mandira website
which separates the texts by subject and indicates if they are from the
Gaudiya tradition or not.

So finally thanks to the Jiva organisation who made this collection
available to all, stating on their discussion list:
 From: https://gaudiyadiscussions.gaudiya.com/topic_543.html

This repository of texts is an effort to collect, edit, and make available
important and often rare Sanskrit and Bengali texts that belong to the
Caitanya Vaisnava tradition. It is for the use of any and all scholars of
Sanskrit, Bengali, and the Caitanya Vaisnava tradition. It will eventually
contain carefully edited and proofread editions of the whole corpus of
Caitanya Vaisnava texts and many other important Sanskrit texts from other
traditions and fields of study.

This brings the total number of texts in the searchable sanskrit library to
1851.

Thanks,
Harry Spier
