[INDOLOGY] Date of Navaratri

Thank you to the individuals who answered me off-list.
For those interested in the intricacies of Indian holidays. I spoke to an
attendant at the temple who told me that because this year two tithis fell
on Vijayadasami, Because of this, Vijayadasami would fall on Oct. 2nd.so
the priests had decided to celebrate the first night of Navaratri on Sept.
23 instead of Sept. 22 so the holiday would be the usual 10 days instead of
11.
