Congratulations, dear Prof. Deshpande.
I’m posting a verse I wrote a few years ago—one I had shared with you
before, but am repeating here so that our colleagues on this group can read
it too—as a tribute to your Pratibha.
मधुसमीरऋतायन¹कारिका
सकलविश्वशिरोमणिता ततः।
मधुपुराधिपतिस्तवकारिकाम्
कविकुलोत्तमतां नुदते स्वत:।।
(वृत्त: द्रुतविलंबित)
The glory of Lord Krishna that spells into the air a divine nectar, and
compels the most prolific poet/pandit (i.e., Dr. Deshpande) to compose the
(beautiful) hymns of Lord Krishna, the king of Mathura (himself).
