Hoḍa in Sanskrit means ‘boat’ - it is a loan from Dravidian ōṭam ‘boat’ (h- stands for the glottal stop that precedes initial vowels in North Dravidian). Could hoḍa cakra be related to the ‘boat pose’ (nāvāsana) related to the maṇipūra cakra?
