Dear list members,

The manuscript bundle 27521 from the IFP manuscript collection has been
added to the Muktabodha digital library, titled as:
nitārcanavidhi/vāsanārcanavidhi vātulatantra

Description by Dr. Deviprasad Misra:
The manuscript labeled RE27521, attributed to the Vātula Tantra tradition,
encompasses a bundle of palm-leaf documents meticulously transcribed by the
scribe Suvvarāya in the Sanskrit language using the Grantha script. This
manuscript, consisting of 66 folios spanning from 1a to 64a, provides a
profound insight into the religious practices of Śaiva Siddhānta,
particularly focusing on the worship of the liṅga of Śiva. Within its

worship, including the classification of liṅgas, their materials, and modes
of worship. Additionally, it elucidates nyāsa techniques, crucial for the
purification and proper worship of the liṅga and associated deities. Each
folio, measuring approximately 3.3 cm in width and 31 cm in length,
contains 7 to 9 lines of text, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of
its production.

The etext was produced by the staff of the Institut Francais de Pondichery
under the direction of Dr. Deviprasad Mishra. The funding was provided by
