Dear everyone,
A few years back I had some discussions with John Hudson of Tiro fonts
about their sanskrit font (some issues with vedic accents) and at that time
I asked him about licensing and use of their sanskrit font. Here is what I
asked and what he answered.
*. . .*
Would you be able to clarify the following points about the Sanskrit Text
font licence.
1) Are you permitted to publish books that use the Sanskrit Text font?
2) Are you permitted to use the Sanskrit Text font with non-Microsoft
publishing software such as: QuarkXpress or Adobe Indesign etc.?
Thanks,
Harry Spier

Dear Harry,
Yes and yes, so long as you have a valid license for the software with
which the Sanskrit Text font is bundled (Windows or Office).
