Hans,

     At least on my Mac, your solution seems to work for ā̃̀, ī̃̀, ū̃̀,
ṝ̃̀ and ḷ̃̀ but does not seem to work for e and o. On e and o, it allows
me to add either nasality or accent, but not both.
