On trouve aussi பாழ் pour dénoter le zéro dans des représentations (de 
type mixte) pour des grands nombres, comme par exemple dans l'assertion

ஒருபாழ் பரவையோ ரெட்டைந்தோ ரேழா றிருபதாஞ் சந்தத்தி லெண்

qui explique qu'il existe 1,048,576 (i.e. 2 exponent 20) type de cantam 
à 20 éléments
(voir Vīracōḻiyam, édition de 1942)
