Dear Colleagues,

I would like to inform everybody of two new publications in French.
One is the study (with the edition, translation and explanation) of  
the Taittiriya-Upanishad with the Commentary of Shankara (2 vols  
Collège de France, Paris 2007)
The other is a edition, translation, large introduction and indexes  
of the Yoga-Bhâshya (with extracts of Yoga-Varttika of Vijnâna- 
Bhiksu), Paris, Les Belles Lettres, 1. Vol, 770 pages, 2007.

The second book is the first of a new collection of Indian classical  
texts (Sanskrit, Pali, etc.) published by Les Belles Lettres Paris by  
which all the classical texts (Greek and Latin) are published.


One question : The Tantrâloka has been translated into italian by R.  
Gnoli. Does somebody know an other translation or a study into  
English, German, of the chapter XIII of the Tantrâloka?

Permettez-moi de faire connaître au monde anglophone la publication  
de deux classiques : Taittiriya-Upanishad et le Commentaire de  
Shankara, 2 vol. Collège de France, Paris, n°s 75a et 75b.
D'autre part, le Yoga-Sutra et le Yoga-Bhashya ont été publiés aux  
Belles Lettres, la maison d'édition bien connue pour ses publications  
des textes latins et grecs. Je suis le directeur de cette nouvelle  
collection d'indianisme nommée INDIKA; les années suivantes, le Nyâya- 
Bhâshya, la Caraka-Samhita seront publiés. Et je signale à tous les  
indianistes francophones qu'ils pourront trouver éventuellement une  
maison d'édition pour leurs textes en français. Le standard d'édition  
est le suivant:
- présentation et introduction (philogique, historique, religieuse,  
philosophique selon le cas)
- texte en translittération
- traduction
- notes explicatives.

C'est le schéma de base et à l'usage nous verrons comment l'aménager  
selon les besoins
Je souhaite que les chercheurs indianistes du monde entier  
collaborent à cette collection, notamment parce que les études  
indianistes ont tout à gagner au maintien de plusieurs langues d'études.
