Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow
whose work focuses on the politics of gender and women's organizatins or
movements in South Asia, preferably, but not necessarily, in its cities.
Applicants will be part of the College's Program in Feminist and Gender
Studies and should have a background in the social sciences and an
interdisciplinary orientation towards research and teaching.

The Fellow will pursue research interests, teach one course per semester
and engage in the intellectual life of the college.  Fellowships are for
two years, subject to annual review and recommendation.  Applicants must
have completed the PhD degree by June 1999.  Stipend: $31,000.
