mentioned, they merit a listing:  Sabyasachi Bhattacharya and Romila Thapar,
eds., _Situating Indian History for Sarvapalli Gopal (Delhi: OUP, 1986) and
Romila Thapar, Harbans Mukhia, and Bipan Chandra, _Communalism in the
Writing of Indian History (Delhi: People's Publishing House, 1969).  R.
Thapar is the author of several other works that have a significant
historiographical importance, too.
