Dear Scholars,

I have come across a document called Justice A. K. Rajan Committee report that looked into the temple construction and worship practices as followed in Tamil Nadu. The document lists several violations found in the Tamil Nadu temples. Unfortunately the Āgamic sources for rules attesting to such violations are not presented. I have attached a few pages from the document listing the violations as well as the committee membership and expert invitees including the French Institute’s T. Ganesan.

I would appreciate if any member could confirm if the violations listed in the document have a textual basis and if so, what the textual sources are.
