I recently received a copy of a manuscript from Kota, entitled rekhāgaṇitalaghubodha, of which I attach the last folio, with the colophon.
The date śake 1693 is given, which corresponds to 1771 AD, compatible with the date of the Jaipur's
rekhāgaṇita, with which this manuscript offers some similarities.
My question concerns the word preceding the date, that is rāmā(or śarmā ?)kabhūpāla. Does it indicate a king of that period and/or does this word alter the date ? A place is also mentioned : dillīnagare tu korāvakaṭake. Is korāva(or ba) a place near Delhi ?
Finally, does anyone know something about the author miśramohanalāla, son of miśrahīrādhara ? And about malikhadvāla ?
I don't find anything in Pingree's CESS, except a mohanalāla, who lived after 1850 (CESS, vol.5, p.317), which is a century too late.
