Dear list members,

Thanks to the scholarship (which we all know so well) and the generosity of Dr. Walter Slaje, five of his critical editions have been added to the Searchable Aggregate Library of Sanskrit 

Those critical editions are:

rājataraṅgiṇī by kalhaṇa book 7 critical edition
rājataraṅgiṇī by kalhaṇa book 8 critical edition
rājataraṅgiṇī by śuka critical edition
jainataraṅgiṇī and rājataraṅgiṇī by śrīvara critical edition
and
rājataraṅgiṇī by jonarāja and pseudo-jonarāja critical edition
(which replaces an early version of the same text from GRETIL also by Walter Slaje)

These are text only but the footnotes (now endnotes) are included and fully clickable.

1. Recent discussions on the list have shown the importance of these texts for historical and geographic questions.  The format of these texts facilitate this in that  Dr. Slaje has capitalised all personal and place names in these texts. This will not affect searches because all searches are case insensitive.

2. These editions show best practices for critical editions in that jihvāmūlīya ẖ upadhmānīya ḫ and anunāsika m̐ are preserved throughout the texts and not normalized out. Over 20 years ago and about a year ago the problems of normalising critical editions were discussed on this list.
