Dear list members,

There was a discussion in March about the IAST wikipedia page  because it incorrectly listed m overdot as anusvara instead of m underdot.

After the discussion Dominik Wujstyk corrected the wikipedia article last March.

But I went to the IAST wikipedia page today and in the chart in the section "Inventory and conventions" for anusvara it has:
ṃ(ṁ)Ṃ(Ṁ)anusvara

It was changed to that by Hemant Dabral in April with the comment in the revisions page "Mdotbelow is the primary transliteration Mdotabove is alternative..

My understanding is that this is incorrect. The reason this is important is that it complicates searchs over multiple texts that use IAST transliteration.
