Referring to the question raised by Harry Spier a few days ago: I am now back at my books, and can confirm that vīkṣiṣiraṃs is a typographical error in the digital input of the 1977 book referred to, as Matthew Kapstein assumed. It is correctly vīkṣiṣīraṃs in this book. Digital editions are very helpful, but it is still necessary to have the books or image scans of the books to check possible typos such as this one.
