Dear colleagues,

Many of us rely on digital dictionaries, but keeping large collections organised and up to date can quickly become cumbersome.

To address this, I have developed Dictionary Updater, a small free and libre iOS app that helps you keep collections of your digital dictionaries updated on your iphone. When a new resource is available on website, it allows you to easily update dictionary on your phone.

Why Dictionary Updater?

• Access to indic-dict Dictionary Repository

The app includes a default catalogue of about 280 dictionaries from the indic-dict project at https://github.com/indic-dict

• Create Your Own Dictionary Lists

Users can create customised lists of dictionaries to track updates only for the resources they are interested in.

• Simple Download and Update Workflow

Download dictionaries easily and keep your local collection updated whenever new versions are released.

• Works with Offline Dictionary Readers

Downloaded dictionaries can be used with compatible dictionary readers such as HDICT (https://apps.apple.com/in/app/hdict/id6759493062) or any other dictionary reader of your choice.
