Following the international conference on archaeology Tamil Nadu is hosting an international conference on Tamil epigraphy from February 11 to 14.

The actual scholarly presentations begin at 1h21m30s. The first presentatiomn is by Ingo Strauch and Charlotte Schmid on the title of “From Valley of the Kings to India: Indian Inscriptions in Egypt”. while most of thge inscriptions presented are from the Valley of the Kings, a few from Berenike are also discussed including a recently discovered Tamil inscription.

Among the inscriptions in the Valley of the Kings, a majority seem to be Tamil Brahmi inscriptions. There is a Kharoshti inscription too.
