Dear lists,

Greetings from Amrita IKS Centre of Excellence! (Recognised and funded by the IKS Division, Ministry of Education, GoI)

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Vyākaraṇa component of the International Conference on Bharatiya Knowledge Frameworks: Āyurveda, Vyākaraṇa and Darśana, scheduled from 24-26 March 2026 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, Kerala. (Offline Conference)

The Vyākaraṇa track is anchored in the conference theme-

“kāṇādaṁ pāṇinīyaṁ ca sarvaśāstropakārakam”,

with special emphasis on the Pāṇinian grammatical tradition as a vidyā-śāstra-a foundational epistemic and methodological framework supporting multiple śāstric disciplines.

We invite abstracts engaging with Vyākaraṇa from textual, conceptual, philosophical, and interdisciplinary perspectives. Suggested sub-themes include (but are not limited to):

·       Vyākaraṇa as vidyā-śāstra rather than descriptive linguistics

·       Grammar as a tool for śāstra-pramāṇa and knowledge validation

·       The role of śabda-śāstra in structuring Indian intellectual traditions

·       Śabda, artha, and sambandha in the Pāṇinian–Bhāṣya tradition

·       Pāṇini, Kātyāyana, and Patañjali on linguistic ontology

·       Pāṇinian sūtra technique as a model of scientific abstraction

·       Meta-rules (paribhāṣā) and their methodological significance

·       Anubandhas, it-markers, and economy of expression

·       Vyākaraṇa as a methodological template for śāstric composition

·       Manuscript traditions of Pāṇinian and post-Pāṇinian texts

·       Regional Vyākaraṇa traditions and commentarial lineages

Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations and will undergo academic review.

Selected abstracts may be recommended for full paper submission.

Please find the details in the poster attached. Please also explore the other two components, Āyurveda and Darśana, if you wish.

We would be honoured by your scholarly participation and contribution to this International Conference.

Thank you very much.
