Dear Friends,
I'm trying to track down a couple of pages from this book:
Chandra, Moti, and Umakant Premanand Shah. 1975. New Documents of Jaina Painting: Illustrated catalog of paintings, 1346–1812 A.D., with exhaustive introduction. Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya.
Google Books does not allow opening up the specific pages.
I'm interested in page 38, Fig 87 'Actors and pole-dancers'
and the commentary on page 100.
I would appreciate it if some kind soul could take a couple of photos and share them with me.
I'm also trying to hunt down the original text of:
The acrobat Ilāputra (ĀvC 1.484.11-485.13),
which, so far, I've only got as close as the translation by:
Granoff, Phyllis, ed. 1990. Clever Adulteress & Other Stories: A Treasury Of Jain Stories. Oakville: Mosaic Press. (page 32).
I have found a copy of:
Vijaya, Jina, ed. 1934. Vividha Tīrtha Kalpa of Jinaprabha Sūri: Part 1. Śāntiniketan: Adhisṭhātā, Siṅghī Jaina Jñānapīṭha.
Though, I haven't had a chance to try to find it in there, yet.
Thank you,
Patrick
