Does anyone know why in (some parts of) some kośa texts, the key words are arranged alphabetically in order of their last (rather than first) consonant, for example in the Nānārthavarga (III.3) of the Amarakośa? (Other examples noted in Claus Vogel, Indian Lexicography, pp.326, 330, 577.)
