This journal publishes primarily Japanese articles from leading scholars as well as grad students, and usually includes several articles at the end of the volume in English. The reason for the two types of pagination is that Japanese books read from right to left, i.e., what in most Western languages would be the back of the book is the front, so the numbers start at that end. When it gets to the English articles, since they appear in left to right format, the pagination is reverse of the Japanese order going in the other direction, and the western pagination is given in parentheses. This article following the Japanese page order at the bottom of the page is on pp. 752-749 (seems backwards), and the English pagination order, in parenthesis is (26-29).
