Just a few lines to inform you that the French translation of Patrick Olivelle’s magnificent book,
Ashoka. Portrait of a Philosopher King (Yale University Press, 2023), has just been released under the title
Ashoka. Roi philosophe, Paris, Les Belles Lettres, 2025. Note also that on the publisher's website, Patrick Olivelle answers a few of Ulysse Barthel’s questions about the nature and the genesis of the book.
