Dear Professor Taylor,Thank you very much for forwarding the letter from Prof. Nyaupane, Chair, 19th WSC, Kathmandu. I am delighted to know that the organisers have assured all the potential participants about the organisation of the said conference. While thanking them for this assurance and sending my best wishes to them, I should also point out the reason (or one of the reasons) for the rumours regarding the status of the 19th World Sanskrit Conference (WSC). The organisers were and are perhaps still busy with many other commitments and have not sent replies to date to some of the participants. Many participants sent their abstracts on time and suggested special panels as well. They got no response despite their continuous queries. They naturally became sceptical (and still are) about the "serious" organisation of the said conference. I have been attending the WSCs for the past more than twenty years, but this is quite an unusual experience! I am sure, the next WSC will be a serious event as usual.Shrikant BahularOn Mon, 24 Mar 2025 at 10:52, McComas Taylor via INDOLOGY <indology@list.indology.info> wrote:Dear Participants & Fellow Members,
