Among the reactions to my question about the expression "a horn on one's head", are like to mention two, from Christophe Vielle and Walter Slaje. They pointed to the image of a hare's horn referring to something unreal, found in philosophical treatises. By using this image in the Laṭakamelaka, but now applied to the Digambara monk Jaṭāsura, the Buddhist Ajñānarāśi resolves the conflict with this monk monk about the question if caste (jāti) exists (is real) or not.
