amarāri = amara + ari, enemy of the gods (because Śukra (Venus) is the guru of the asuras, as Brhaspati (Jupiter) is the guru of the gods).

Apologies for the lack of diacritic on vocalic r, I’m writing on my phone.

Dear Friends,

I'm wondering about the esoteric meaning of the number 17 within Indic traditions.

Is it related to Venus, in some way?

Is there any connection between amarāri (venus) and the 'abode of the gods' (amarāvatī)?

Thank you,

Patrick McCartney
