Dear Historians of Southern Asian Art,
One week remains to submit applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship of Art History at Case Western Reserve University.
It would be exciting to have a colleague in the Joint Program in Art History to teach, study, and collaborate with ready access to the collections at the Cleveland Museum of
Art. We need a pre-modern specialist to assist us in building a great program here in Cleveland.

Please feel free to email me directly with any questions.
All best wishes,
Sonya

Subject: Tenure-track job in the arts of Asia at Case Western Reserve University
Dear friends and colleagues,
I want to draw your attention to the tenure-track job in the arts of Asia that just opened in our department. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence and innovation in research, scholarship, and teaching whose expertise would complement
the current departmental curriculum, and especially those whose specialization lies in periods predating the 1600s. Teaching duties comprise two courses each semester at graduate and/or undergraduate levels, including surveys and specialized courses in the
successful applicant’s area of expertise. In view of the long history of collaboration between the CWRU Department of Art History and Art and the renowned Cleveland Museum of Art, candidates are encouraged to demonstrate a strong commitment to object-based
pedagogy and engage with the museum’s extensive Asian art collections.
The full description is
here. Please send to your colleagues and students: we hope for and expect a robust turnout of applications.
Yours,
Elina
