For my own curiosity and that of a student: References can be found to the Qur'an having been translated into Sanskrit, but so far I found no bookshop or library having such translation nor did I find any scan of such translation online. A brief article that apparently appeared in 2010 in Milli Gazette is making echos on various media.  

"Razia Sultana of Deoband has translated the Qur'an into Sanskrit. It took her 12 years to complete the work because, according to her, finding the correct Sanskrit alternatives of Qur'anic words was a difficult task which took much of her time but which were essential to convey the proper meaning. Her work has been appreciated in foreign countries like America, Iran, Russia and some European countries from where she not only received laudatory and congratulatory letters but also received invitations to visit those countries."

It is added that her grandfather translated the Qur'an into Hindi. 

Earlier translations into Sanskrit have been mentioned: 

- Qur'an Sharif - The Holy Koran, Cawnpore Razzaqi Press, 1897 (616 pages); 

- (Qur'an Sharif - The Holy Koran?) Mohammad Yusuf, Qadiyan and Amritsar, 1932 (724 pages); 

- translation by H Ganday Rao?

- Rahul Sankrityayan (1893-1963) is said to have translated the Quran into Sanskrit while he was in jail for three years on account of anti-British political activities.

Any further information will be highly appreciated.
