Dear colleagues,
As part of the project "Epidemics and Crisis Management in
Pre-modern South Asia" a workshop on "Calamities and
Countermeasures in Pre-modern South Asia" will take place in
Vienna and online on November 8–9, 2024. Please find more details
about the event in the attachment or on the project website: https://epidemics.univie.ac.at/the-project/calamities-workshop/.
If you want to participate in this workshop, please submit a title
and an abstract of approximately 300 words by March 15, 2024.
Kindly send your submission to vitus.angermeier@unvie.ac.at, with
the subject phrase "calamities workshop submission".
If your proposal is accepted, we expect to receive a first draft
of your paper until September 15, for pre-circulation among the
other participants. Further details will be provided with the
final programme in April.
The workshop will be held in hybrid format. This means that if you
are unable to come to Vienna due to appointments or other
difficulties, it will also be possible to participate online. If
you have further questions about the event, please do not hesitate
to contact me.
With best regards,
Vitus Angermeier
