Dear Patricia, Dear all,

The most convenient I found so far is OCRmyPDF (https://ocrmypdf.readthedocs.io). It is a wrapper of Tesseract (Google's OCR engine).

Best,

Dear all,

In the past I have found Abbyy FineReader to be the best, though still flawed, program available for OCR purposes. As I just purchased a new Mac, I need to reinstall it but before I do, I wonder if anyone has come across anything better in the last few years.

Thanks,
Patricia
