Dear List Members,

According to the Jinacaritra and the second suyakkhandha o the Āyāra, the most important events in the Mahāvīra's life and ascetic career took place when the moon was in conjunction with the constellation Uttaraphālgunī. Due to my unfamilarity with asterism, conjunctions, etc., the relationship of these phenomena with the turningpoints in the Mahāvīra's career escapes me. I hope somebody on the list can direct me to literature that may enlighten a non-astrologer/non-astronomer like me.
