I’m traveling without access to my books but do also look at Shelly’s introduction to Rama’s Last Act (Bhavabhuti’s Uttararamacarita) in the Clay Sanskrit Library edition.

Subject: [INDOLOGY] Brothering

[EXTERNAL SENDER]

Dear List,

Does anyone know any references to the term 'brothering' allegedly used by Sheldon Pollock in connection with the two great Sanskrit epics? The term 'brothering' is supposed to be opposite of the more well-known postmodern term 'othering'.

Thanks in advance.

Warm regards
