The book we’ve been discussing is over 450 euros. I don’t believe that Springer’s extravagant pricing is a function of rising costs of paper.

It'll be curious to see the effect of the past two or three years

on prices. (The cost of paper has certainly increased.) Some

sort of comparison should be possible once figures find their

I have the good fortune to use a library that has e-access and I can vouch for the considerable interest of the volume. For readers who may not have such connections, however, it is unfortunate that it is prohibitively expensive. May we hope to see a “cheap” edition some day?
