Maybe I am wrong, but J.L. Shastri's "edition" is... the AITM English translation first issued with Motilal in 1969-70 (several reprints; I am surprised by the 1950 date, which appears wrong) and, according to L. Rocher (here attached), "based on the ed. by the Panditapustakalaya, which follows, with emendations, the Venk. ed. of 1906".

should follow Veṅkaṭeśvara edition (1906), but does it has any relationship with  Paṇḍitapustakālaya edition (1963)?
