Dear Raja,

Primary sources in Prakrit and Sanskrit are dedicated to the concept of naya in Jain Philosophy:

Shastri, Kailash Chandra (1971): Davvasabhāvappakasako Ṇayacakko by Māïlla Dhavala. Varanasi: Bhāratīya Jñānapīṭha Publication.

Jain, Ratancand (translator and commentator) (Vīranirvāṇa Samvat 2467) (1940): Śrīmad Devasenācāryaviracitā Ālāpapaddhati Apara Nāma Drvyānuyoga Praveśikā. Saharanpur (U.P.): Prācīn Ārṣ Granthāyatan.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,
Abhishek

Dear all,

Any hints as to where I might find proper definitions and discussions of the Jaina concept of 'naya' would be much appreciated! 🙏🏼

I have quite some secondary literature, but it strikes me as shallow. Hence, references to primary texts would be especially useful.

Many thanks,
Raja
