The Department of Classics at Dalhousie University invites applications for a 10-month limited term appointment, from August 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The holder of this post will be responsible for teaching RELS 1001: Religions of the East; RELS 2011: Hinduism; RELS 2012/CHIN 2060: Chinese and Japanese Religions; RELS 2013/CHIN 2070: Buddhism; RELS 3112: Buddhism in India and Tibet, and a third-year course in the candidate’s area of expertise (RELS 3000: Topics in Religion). The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading, consultation with students and administration of the classes. Applicants should have a PhD in the area, and be outstanding teachers at the university level in this field with a proven track-record in the above-mentioned areas of instruction.
