     Thanks.  This is a very beautiful poem of Yogeśvara.  Another poetic idea about a cat is found in the first line of the following verse:

कपाले मार्जार: पय इति करान् लेढि शशिन:
तरुच्छिद्रप्रोतान् बिसमिति करी सङ्कलयति ।
रतान्ते तल्पस्थान् हरति वानिताप्यंशुकमिति
प्रभामत्तश्चन्द्रो जगदिदमहो विप्लवयति ।।

Our Sanskrit speaking cat, Babloo, passed away this morning at the age of 20.  He used to respond to me calling him with आगच्छ.  He was a very loving cat, and we will miss him very much. Here is my Sanskrit verse for Babloo:

मार्जारकुलजातस्त्वं जातोऽस्मत्कुलनन्दन: । 
गतोऽपि त्वं देवलोकं मनस्तो न गतोऽसि न: ।।
