Hello Patrick,

A Quick Google search for śāntamūrti came up with the following attestations:

śrī vidyāṃ śāntamūrtiṃ sakala surasutāṃ sarvasampat-pradātrīm || 2 ||. sakuṅkuma vilepanā maḷikacumbi kastūrikāṃ. samanda hasitekṣaṇāṃ saśaracāpa ...

rājendraṃ satyasandhaṃ daśarathatanayaṃ śyāmalaṃ śāntamūrtiṃ. vandelokābhirāmaṃ raghukula tilakaṃ rāghavaṃ rāvaṇārim. rāmāya rāmabhadrāya ...
  • The word śāntimūrti appears to occur in the Buddhist Svayambhūpurāṇa:
    1. Svayambhupurana

These terms also seem to occur in the names of Jain monks.

    Dear Friends,

I just did a search of the Indology archives for the terms śāntamūrti and śāntimūrti, however, the search produced no results. I thought perhaps I might come across this term in the Śānti Parva, although a quick search came up also with no results.

I'm wondering if anyone has come across such a term in reference to 'embodiers of quietude' in any text, and if so, could you please inform me of this particular text.

    Thank you.

    All the best,

    Patrick McCartney
