the same passage is quoted in rājaśekhara's kāvyamīmāṃsā (8th ch.) and ascribed to "bauddhasiddhāntīyas" (p. 38 in dalal's ed.); the notes only mention that it was quoted in the TV and "ascribed to the buddha."
