The translation has been done excellently; only with regard to the French "apprivoiser" I have still some doubts: compare 

"On ne connaît que les choses que l’on apprivoise" 

and 

kaś cit tān eva viṣayān avagacchati yān sa prīṇayati. 

("apprivoiser" is also difficult to translate into english etc.)
