The url's given below are articles from the popular press that i think would be of interest to Indologists. The first deals with the fact that history as a subject in its own right will no longer be taught up till grade 10. The second talks about how some top employees of government funded institutions are busy establishing the existence of all kinds of technology--aeroplanes, helicopters and what not at the time of redaction of the Indian epics.

A great shame indeed.

p.s. It is my suggestion that even the genuine scientific accomplishments of the ancient and medieval Indians will start getting ignored with the propogation of this kind of nonsense.
