Dear lists,
I am glad to share with you that as a part of an ongoing project 'Sanskrit
Knowledge Accessor', funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information
Technology, we have developed E-readers for the following texts available
at https://start.samsaadhanii.in .
a) Srimadbhadgvadgītā
b) Raghuvaṃśaṃ
c) upaniṣadas -- īśā, kena and kaṭha
d) Aśṭāṅgahṛdayaṃ - first 15 adhyāyas
e) Sundarakāṇḍa
f) Saṃkśepa-rāmāyaṇam
g) Mahābhārata - udyoga-parva
h) Around 1000 sentences picked up from Satavalekar's
'Saṃskrit-svayaṃ-śikṣaka'
An E-reader provides the following information:
i) Original verse
ii) It's pada-chheda
iii) It's anvaya
iv) Morphological analysis of each word
v) kāraka and samāsa tagging
vi) Dictionary help - Amarakoṣa, Apte's Sanskrit-Hindi, Monnier William's
Skt-Eng, Skt-French by Gérard Huet, and Sanskrit-German. For Ayurveda, we
have also integrated the Ayurveda Technical terminology dictionary
available at Namaste portal <https://namaste.ayush.gov.in/sat_Ayurveda>.
And finally you can see the relations between the words in the form of a
graph.
These E-readers are developed semi-automatically using the Samsaadhanii
<https://scl.samsaadhanii.in/scl> platform, and Heritage
<https://sanskrit.inria.fr> platform, and the results thus obtained were
manually edited/corrected further.
The kaaraka tags and the samaasa tags used for annotations are available at
the guidelines page
<https://samsaadhanii.org/scl/GOLD_DATA/Tagging_Guidelines/guidelines.html>
.
The Sanity checking of some of the texts is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, we would like to have feedback from you on this effort.
Further, if anybody is interested in developing an E-reader for any new
text, you can use the START <http://start.samsaadhanii.in> platform. Please
contact me to get annotator access.
Thanking you in advance,
Amba Kulkarni
