Dear list members,
When the searchable sanskrit library
https://searchable-sanskrit-library.org/ was launched about a month ago all
the University of Texas at Austin's etexts
https://sites.utexas.edu/sanskrit/resources/dharmasastra/
https://sites.utexas.edu/sanskrit/resources/jain-texts/
https://sites.utexas.edu/sanskrit/resources/early-upanisads-olivelle-edition/

were all added as plain text files. That meant that all the formatting and
footnotes were lost. But the formatting was used in many etexts to give
editorial information. As explained by Patrick Olivelle in the metadata to
one of his etexts:

Formatting and Editorial Notes

● Mūla (root-text): BOLD

● Mūla text cited in commentary: BOLD

● Names of authors and texts: RED

● Citations from other texts: BLUE

● Pūrvapakṣa, Uttarapakṣa, and different views: underlined

● Introductory comments that precede the mūla verses are given in italics.

and by Donald R. Davis in the metadata to one of his etexts:
*Cited verses are indented and bolded.*

The University of Texas at Austin's etexts have now been re-uploaded to the
library with all the original formatting, font colouring and footnotes.
They are still fully searchable within the library.

Thank you to Patrick Olivelle and Donald Davis for the comment that pointed
this out and for other comments that motivated other improvements to the
site.

Also new to the library is their etext caturvargacintāmaṇi śraddha-khāṇḍa
by hemādri vol. 2

Thanks,
Harry Spier
