Dear colleagues,
I’ve mustered up the audacity to use this discussion thread to invite
everyone who happens to be in Kathmandu on June 25th to my lecture, "The
Fasting Bodhisattva and the Shepherds: Some Reflections on the Motif of
Mocking the Ascetic in the Biography of the Buddha." The lecture will take
place at 5:30 PM at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute. Details can be found in
the attached announcement.
